LynqSeat Terms of Use

Version 2.9 · Published Tuesday, 20 October 2026

Version 2.9 · Applies to everyone who uses LynqSeat as a member at https://lynqseat.com, in the LynqSeat web app and in the LynqSeat mobile app for Android and iPhone. Greek is the authoritative language for users in Greece; this English text is provided for convenience.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

LynqSeat is provided by RocketSavvy IT& T, established in Canada (business number 5154894123, VAT/GST number R84515874758), address 20 Greencrest Circuit, e-mail [email protected] ("LynqSeat", "we", "us").

  • Legal representative in the EU under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act, "DSA") and representative under Article 27 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR): Panagiotis Peter F. Athens, Greece.
  • Single point of contact for members and for authorities under Articles 11 and 12 DSA: [email protected]. We answer in Greek and English. You do not have to rely only on automated tools to reach us.
  • Data protection contact: [email protected].

2. What LynqSeat is

LynqSeat is an online platform that helps adults meet in person at social events hosted by partner cafés, bars, restaurants, hotel bars and similar businesses ("Venues"). With LynqSeat you can:

  1. discover upcoming events and reserve a place (RSVP) or join a waiting list;
  2. check in when you are physically at the Venue during the event;
  3. while checked in, see the other members who are checked in at the same event, signal interest and, after a mutual signal ("match"), chat;
  4. where the Venue offers it, send another checked-in member a drink or treat from the Venue's menu as a gift ("Κέρασμα"), under the separate Κέρασμα Terms.

LynqSeat is not a dating agency and does not promise any outcome. We do not organise the events, run the premises, or sell food or drinks. Each Venue is solely responsible for its premises, staff, safety, service, prices and the lawful sale of alcohol. We are not a party to arrangements you make directly with a Venue or another member, except where these Terms or the Κέρασμα Terms say so.

Membership is free of charge. Members only pay for a Κέρασμα they choose to send.

3. Who may use LynqSeat

  1. You must be at least 21 years old. You confirm your date of birth when you sign up, and we refuse registration to younger people. Venues may ask for an identity document at the entrance or before serving alcohol; we never receive a copy.
  2. You must use your own mobile phone number, which you verify with a one-time SMS code.
  3. You may have only one personal account. You may not use LynqSeat if we have terminated your account before, or if you are subject to a court order or conviction for a sexual or violent offence that is incompatible with meeting people in person.
  4. A member account requires a completed profile, a profile photo of you, and a selfie check from your phone camera. The check confirms that the photo is you. It is part of these Terms, not a separate choice. The check is automatic, and a person reviews it when the result is uncertain or you ask us to (see the Privacy Policy). You can withdraw by deleting your account.

4. Your account and security

  • You sign in with your phone number and an SMS code. We do not use passwords for members. Keep your phone and SIM card secure and tell us immediately if you lose control of your number.
  • Your profile must be truthful and about you. Do not impersonate anyone.
  • You are responsible for what happens through your account. We may ask you to re-verify your number or repeat the selfie check if we see signs of misuse.

5. Events, check-in, visibility and matching

  1. RSVP and waiting lists. Events have limited capacity set by the Venue. If an event is full you can join the waiting list; when a place frees up, the next person is offered it and notified.
  2. Check-in. You can check in only while the event is live (from 30 minutes before its start until its end), only if you have a confirmed place, and only at the Venue. Check-in requires scanning the QR code displayed at the Venue, which changes every 30 seconds, and, with your permission, a single location reading at that moment to confirm you are inside the Venue's area. We keep the result (for example "checked in, 35 m from the Venue") and never your coordinates. We do not track your location at any other time.
  3. Who sees you. Only members checked in at the same live event can see your profile card (display name, age, photo, short bio, interests, languages, what you are looking for and icebreakers), according to the visibility choices you made. Your profile is never public and is not shown outside events. When the event ends or you leave it, other members can no longer see you, except members you matched with.
  4. Interest and matches. Your interest signals are private. If two members signal interest in each other, a match is created and both are notified. You can send up to 15 interest signals per event.
  5. Chat. You can chat only after a match. After the event, a chat stays open only if both of you choose to keep it within 24 hours; otherwise it closes. You can close a chat, block or report at any time. In chats and table chats you can send emoji reactions, photos, short videos (up to 10 seconds) and voice notes (up to 15 seconds), and unsend your own messages. You are responsible for what you send and need the right to send it (see the prohibited conduct below). Photos, videos and voice notes are visible only to the people in the chat and are deleted automatically 30 days after they are sent.
  6. Ranking. Events are shown by date, distance from the city or location you choose, and event format. Venues on certain subscription plans may receive featured placement, which is labelled as such. Members checked in at an event are shown by check-in time; we do not sell visibility to members and we do not rank people by attractiveness or by any sensitive characteristic.

Going with friends, your night and the "shows up" badge

  • Tables. A member who has reserved can open a table and invite friends to sit together. Members of a table see each other's first name and photo and share a chat that closes a day after the event. If someone who already sits at a table invites you and you already have a seat, you are placed at their table (together with your own table, if you have one and everyone fits) and you are told; you can leave a table at any time. The host may be replaced if they leave; a table never changes your own reservation.
  • Your night. After an event you checked in to, the app shows who you met (matches, Κέρασμα exchanged, your table), lets you tell someone you would like to stay in touch (they only find out if they want it too) and asks you to rate the night. Ratings are shared with the Venue as anonymous totals only.
  • Shows-up badge. Your card shows a plain badge based on how often you checked in to seats you kept ("new here", "regular", "reliable"). It counts check-ins against reservations; cancelling in time does not count against you. There is no hidden score and no automated decision is taken on it.

6. Rules of conduct

You agree to follow the Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms. In particular you must not:

  • harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, discriminate against or pressure anyone, online or at a Venue;
  • touch or approach anyone without consent, or continue after someone has said no or shown they are not interested;
  • create a fake profile, impersonate someone, misstate your age, or use LynqSeat for commercial solicitation, escort or sex-work services, spam, scams or recruitment;
  • share other people's personal data, intimate images or recordings without consent, or capture, copy or record other members' profiles, photos or chats (the mobile app blocks screenshots and screen recording for this reason) or try to get around that protection;
  • use the invitation feature for anything other than inviting people you personally know to an event you are going to, send invitations in bulk or for advertising, or invite people who would not expect to hear from you (you are responsible for the invitations you send; each person is contacted at most once);
  • post or send illegal content, hate speech, threats or content that sexualises minors;
  • attempt to bypass check-in (for example by sharing or reusing QR codes or faking your location), scrape the service, reverse-engineer it, overload it or interfere with its security;
  • use the service while intoxicated to a degree that puts you or others at risk, or encourage others to drink irresponsibly.

7. Safety

  • Meet in the public area of the Venue and keep control of your drink. Venue staff and the Venue's shift lead are your first point of contact for anything that happens on the premises.
  • Use "I don't feel comfortable" in the live event screen to alert the Venue's staff discreetly. Use block and report in the app for anything that breaks these Terms or the law.
  • In an emergency call 112. LynqSeat is not an emergency service and cannot guarantee anyone's behaviour.
  • Selfie checks and verified badges reduce, but cannot eliminate, the risk of fake profiles. Use your own judgement.

8. Content you provide

You keep your rights in the photos, texts and messages you provide. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, limited to the duration of your account and the retention periods in the Privacy Policy, to host, store, re-encode (for example to strip location metadata from photos), display and transmit that content solely in order to provide LynqSeat to you and the members you interact with. You confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.

9. Notices, moderation and your right to complain

  1. Reporting. You can report a member, a message or a Venue from within the app. Anyone, including people without an account, can notify us of illegal content through the form on the DSA page. We confirm receipt and inform the reporter of our decision.
  2. Our decisions. We review reports diligently, objectively and without arbitrariness, giving priority to reports about safety, minors and threats. We may decide to take no action, issue a warning, remove content (for example a profile photo, bio or message), limit features, suspend an account temporarily or terminate it, or suspend a Venue. Where a measure affects you, we send you a statement of reasons (Article 17 DSA) that explains the decision, the facts and the legal or contractual ground, and how to contest it. You can see it under Safety in the app.
  3. Internal complaint. You can contest any such decision, free of charge, within 6 months through the Safety screen or by writing to [email protected]. A person who was not involved in the original decision reviews your complaint and we reply without undue delay. If you are right, we reverse the measure.
  4. Out-of-court settlement and courts. You may also turn to a dispute settlement body certified under Article 21 DSA (the European Commission publishes the list) and you always keep your right to go to court.
  5. Misuse. We may, after a prior warning, suspend for a reasonable period accounts that frequently provide manifestly illegal content, and the processing of notices from people who frequently submit manifestly unfounded notices (Article 23 DSA).
  6. Authorities. We comply with valid orders from judicial or administrative authorities (Articles 9 and 10 DSA) and inform the member concerned where the law allows. Where we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence involving a threat to life or safety, we inform the competent authorities (Article 18 DSA).

10. Suspension and termination

  • You can delete your account at any time under Settings > Privacy. Deletion takes effect after a 14-day grace period, during which you can change your mind; after that your account is anonymised as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict features, if you breach these Terms or the law, if we must do so by law, or to protect members, Venues or the service. We act proportionately and, except where a delay would create a risk, we tell you the reasons in advance or at the latest when the measure takes effect, together with how to complain.
  • We may stop offering LynqSeat in a city or altogether with at least 30 days' notice, except in urgent cases.

11. Fees and payments

Using LynqSeat as a member is free. A Κέρασμα is paid through our payment service provider Stripe, by card or by a digital wallet such as Google Pay or Apple Pay where your device offers it, under the Κέρασμα Terms. We never see or store your full card number.

Seat + welcome drink. Some events let you (or require you to) reserve your seat together with a drink from the Venue's menu at the price shown. You pay when you reserve; the drink is served when you check in, against the code in the app. If you cancel your seat at least 6 hours before the start, the amount is refunded in full to your payment method. If you cancel later, or do not show up and your seat is released, the amount is kept and paid to the Venue, because the Venue reserved the drink and the seat for you. If the Venue cancels the event, you are refunded in full. Where the drink is required, the event has no waitlist. The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply (catering service at a specific date, Art. 3ιβ(ιβ) of Law 2251/1994); the Κέρασμα Terms apply to refunds and problems.

LynqSeat Plus. Where offered, LynqSeat Plus is an optional monthly subscription at the price shown before you subscribe. It gives early access to new events, priority on waitlists, more friend invitations per day and priority support; it never gives access to other members' data. It renews monthly until you cancel it from the subscription portal, with effect at the end of the paid period. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal; by asking us to start Plus immediately you agree that, if you withdraw, you pay for the days used. Prices include VAT. Plus can be bought and cancelled on lynqseat.com and in the LynqSeat app; it is one subscription for both.

12. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep LynqSeat available and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, the number of members at an event, or that a Venue holds an event as announced. We may improve or change features. If we remove a feature that is essential to you, you may terminate your membership at any time.

13. Liability

  1. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our fault, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
  2. Subject to point 1, we are not liable for the conduct of other members or Venues, or for events that happen at a Venue, and our liability for slight negligence is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this kind of free service.
  3. We are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (for example network failures of third parties, power outages or acts of authorities).

14. Intellectual property

LynqSeat, its logo, design, software and content (other than content provided by members and Venues) belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service in line with these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security or service reasons. We will tell you about significant changes in the app before they take effect, normally at least 15 days in advance. Where the law requires your agreement, we ask you to accept the new version; if you do not agree, you may delete your account. The version and date of the Terms you accepted are recorded.

16. Complaints, applicable law and disputes

  1. For any complaint write to [email protected] or use Help & support in the app or on the website (an automated assistant may answer first and is always labelled as such; you can ask for a person at any time) and the Safety screens. We aim to answer within 14 days.
  2. These Terms are governed by Greek law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
  3. Consumers can contact the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή, www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr) or another alternative dispute resolution body; the European Commission lists them at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu. You may also bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
  4. For matters under the DSA, you can also lodge a complaint with the Digital Services Coordinator. In Greece this is the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (ΕΕΤΤ, www.eett.gr).

17. Other provisions

If a provision of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains in force. We may transfer our rights and obligations to a company that takes over the service, provided your rights are not reduced; we will inform you in advance. These Terms, the Community Guidelines, the Κέρασμα Terms and the Privacy Policy are the complete agreement between you and us about LynqSeat.
