LynqSeat Community Guidelines
Version 2.1 · Published Saturday, 17 October 2026
Version 2.1 · These guidelines are part of the Terms of Use. They apply in the app and at every Venue during a LynqSeat event.
1. The spirit of LynqSeat
LynqSeat exists so that adults can meet in real life, in a relaxed and safe public setting. Everyone should be able to say hello, and everyone should be able to say no, without pressure. Treat other members and Venue staff the way you want to be treated.
2. Consent first
- Interest, a match, a chat or a Κέρασμα is an invitation, never an obligation. A declined or unanswered gesture means no.
- Do not touch anyone without clear consent. Stop immediately if someone says no, steps back, looks uncomfortable or stops responding.
- Do not follow anyone, wait for them outside, or try to find out where they live or work.
- Do not photograph or record other members without their permission, and never share images of anyone without consent.
3. Be yourself
- Use your real age, a recent photo that shows your face, and information that is true about you.
- One person, one account. No fake, shared or business accounts.
- Do not impersonate anyone, including LynqSeat staff or Venue staff.
4. Respect
The following are not allowed, online or in person:
- harassment, insults, threats, intimidation or stalking;
- hate speech or discrimination based on origin, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or any other characteristic;
- sexual comments or explicit content that the other person has not clearly welcomed, and unsolicited intimate images;
- pressuring someone to drink, to leave with you or to share contact details.
5. Not allowed on LynqSeat
- Anyone under 21, and any content that sexualises minors (we report such content to the authorities).
- Selling or advertising products or services, escort or sex-work services, recruitment, pyramid schemes, spam or scams.
- Asking for money, gifts, bank details or investments.
- Drugs, weapons, or encouraging illegal or dangerous activities.
- Sharing other people's personal data.
- Cheating the system: sharing or reusing check-in QR codes, faking your location, automated access, or creating accounts to avoid a suspension.
6. Alcohol and wellbeing
- Drink responsibly. The Venue decides whether to serve you and may refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated.
- Never leave your drink unattended and never accept a drink you did not see being prepared.
- Do not offer or send drinks to someone who appears intoxicated.
7. At the Venue
- Follow the Venue's house rules and the instructions of its staff and shift lead.
- If something feels wrong, use "I don't feel comfortable" in the live event screen: the Venue's staff are alerted discreetly and you do not need to explain yourself.
- In an emergency call 112.
8. Reporting
Use report on a profile, a message or a Venue, or the public form on our DSA page. Reports are confidential: the reported person is not told who reported them. Please report honestly; deliberately false reports are a breach of these guidelines.
9. What happens when guidelines are broken
Depending on the seriousness and on any previous breaches, we may remove content, issue a warning, limit features, suspend an account for a period or terminate it permanently, and we may inform the authorities where the law requires it or someone's safety is at risk. Serious breaches (violence, threats, sexual misconduct, content involving minors) lead to immediate termination. We explain every decision that affects you in a statement of reasons and you can appeal it within 6 months under Safety in the app, as described in the Terms of Use.
