LynqSeat Κέρασμα Terms

Version 2.3 · Published Monday, 19 October 2026

Version 2.3 · These terms apply when a member sends or receives a Κέρασμα (a drink or treat offered as a gift through LynqSeat) and complement the Terms of Use.

1. What a Κέρασμα is

A Κέρασμα lets a member who is checked in at a live event offer another member checked in at the same event an item from the Venue's Κέρασμα menu. It is a consent-first gesture: the recipient decides privately whether to accept it.

  • The Venue sells and serves the item. The Venue sets the menu (3 to 8 items), the prices (shown in euros, including any VAT the Venue charges) and is solely responsible for the item, its quality and its lawful service.
  • LynqSeat provides the technology to order and pay. LynqSeat deducts a technology fee from what it pays the Venue (the percentage shown in the venue dashboard, currently 15%). The member pays only the price shown; no fee is added for members.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, by card or by a digital wallet such as Google Pay or Apple Pay where your device offers it. LynqSeat receives the payment and, after the Venue has served the item, pays the Venue the item price minus the LynqSeat fee by bank transfer.

2. Conditions

To send or receive a Κέρασμα, both members must be checked in at the same live event, have completed their profile, not have blocked each other, and the Venue must offer Κέρασμα for that event. A sender can have only one pending Κέρασμα per recipient per event, and may add only one of the pre-written notes offered in the app (no free text on first contact). We may apply limits to prevent abuse.

3. How it works

  1. Sending. The sender chooses an item and confirms payment. Your card or wallet payment is authorised but not charged: the amount is only reserved. If the sender has LynqSeat wallet credit, it can be used first.
  2. Receiving. The recipient receives a notification and can accept or decline. Declining is silent: the sender is not told that the gesture was declined.
  3. Time limit. The recipient has 20 minutes to decide. If they do not answer, the Κέρασμα expires.
  4. Acceptance. When the recipient accepts, the payment is completed (captured) and the recipient receives a ticket code to show to the Venue's staff, who serve the item.
  5. Decline or expiry. The authorisation is released and the sender is not charged. Depending on your card issuer, the reserved amount may appear on your statement for a few days until the bank releases it. Where wallet credit was used, it is returned to your wallet. The sender sees "not accepted" when the time limit ends, whatever the reason.

4. Age and alcohol

  • LynqSeat is only for people aged 21 or over. Under Greek Law 3730/2008, as amended by Law 5216/2025, it is prohibited and a criminal offence to sell, offer or make alcohol available to minors; Venues must verify age with an identity document or the official digital age-verification function and refuse service if age is not proven.
  • The Venue may refuse to serve an alcoholic item to anyone who cannot prove their age or appears intoxicated. In that case the Venue may offer a non-alcoholic item of equal value; if no suitable item is available, contact us and the order will be refunded.

5. Refunds and problems

  • Event cancelled before the Κέρασμα is served: pending orders are cancelled and accepted but unserved orders are refunded automatically.
  • Item not served although you showed a valid ticket during the event: report it in the app or to [email protected] within 7 days; after checking with the Venue we refund the amount to the card used.
  • Unauthorised payment: tell us immediately and also contact your card issuer.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method or, if you prefer, as LynqSeat wallet credit. Wallet credit can be used only for future Κέρασμα, cannot be withdrawn as cash and is refunded to your card on request when you close your account.

5a. Welcome drink (seat + drink)

Some events let you reserve your seat together with a drink from the Venue's menu (a "welcome drink"). It is a Κέρασμα you buy for yourself: these terms apply, with the following differences.

  • You pay the shown price when you reserve. The drink is served when you check in, against the code in the app.
  • If you cancel your seat at least 6 hours before the event starts, you are refunded in full. If you cancel later, or your seat is released because you did not check in, the amount is kept and paid to the Venue.
  • If the Venue cancels the event, you are refunded in full. If the drink is not served although you showed a valid code, section 5 applies.
  • Where the welcome drink is required for the event, there is no waitlist and the seat is reserved only once the payment succeeds.

6. Right of withdrawal

A Κέρασμα is a catering service provided at a specific date and time (the live event). Under Article 3ιβ(ιβ) of Greek Law 2251/1994, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. Your protection comes from the fact that you are charged only if the recipient accepts, and from the refund rules above.

7. Respectful use

A Κέρασμα must never be used to pressure, harass or embarrass anyone. Repeated unwanted gestures, gestures to people who appear intoxicated, or any attempt to use Κέρασμα to obtain contact details or favours breach the Community Guidelines and may lead to suspension.

8. Receipts, records and complaints

You receive a confirmation in the app for every Κέρασμα and, where applicable, a payment receipt from Stripe. We keep order records as described in the Privacy Policy. Complaints: [email protected]. Our response times and your options for out-of-court settlement are described in the Terms of Use.
